About Massing & Light
What is this publication for, and how does it work?
Massing & Light explains how buildings become useful, truthful and durable photographs. It joins questions often separated across camera tutorials, architecture portfolios and licensing notes: what a project needs to communicate, which views carry that intent, how access and light shape the session, what may be shown, how an image may be used and how the finished files remain findable.
The publication is organized around six broad desks, but its boundary is precise. Every subject must concern the commissioning, making, reading, publishing or stewardship of built-environment images. The site does not offer a photographer portfolio, rates, booking, gear rankings or reconstructed client claims.
Its historical address carried an English-language architecture and interiors portfolio. The current publication preserves useful routes and the subject continuity without reusing archived photographs or prose. Personal and institutional names remain only inside exact historical paths where restoration requires them.
